Happy Christmas!Newsletter - December 2009

I can’t believe that it’s been three months since the last newsletter!  Time flies by so quickly and Christmas is almost upon us.  I’ve been busy in the shop as well at doing talks and demonstrations around the county, so thanks to everyone who welcomed me to their events and I hope to see you again soon.

Christmas and New Year Opening Hours

Barleylands has one more late night opening before Christmas on Wednesday 23rd December when we will be open until 8pm so why not come along?  There will also be a Farmer’s Market and you may even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas!Our holiday opening hours are shown below.  Please note that from 29th December until 3rd January we will be opening a little later and closing a bit earlier.

Loyalty Card Bonus

Workshops for 2010

I’ve been working hard on a workshop programme for 2010, and although it’s not finalised, I can give you a little taster:

On Saturday 16th January I have my first Wire Jewellery workshop, when we will be constructing a necklace using some wonderful beads and wire techniques. 

In February, I have a lovely lady called Joan Young teaching Tapestry Weaving.  This will be preceded by an exhibition of her work in the studio from 14th January 2010, so do come and take a look.  Places are limited to just six on this workshop and the price will be just £30 including the cost of all materials needed.

I am hoping to hold some very special mixed media workshops with the help of Sharne Gregory.  Sharne does some wonderful work and I’m looking forward immensely to our planning session after Christmas – I’ll let you know as soon as we have arranged dates, but I can let you know that they will be held on Saturdays.   

As soon as workshops are arranged, they will be on my blog first, then on the website, and I hope to have another newsletter ready towards the end of February for those of you on my ‘snail mail’ list.
