Welcome to the Craft Arena website!

Craft Arena sells needlecraft, knitting, crochet, mixed media and craft supplies, Brother sewing machines, haberdashery, beads, craft books, gifts and textile art. We hold regular workshops in a variety of crafts and showcase the work of local artists in frequently changing exhibitions at Gallery 50, our dedicated Textile Art Gallery. Find us upstairs in the Barleylands Craft Village, Billericay, Essex.

At Craft Arena we either use or personally recommend everything we sell. If you have a specific requirement please contact us and we will do our best to help. We stock a wide range of Brother Sewing and Embroidery machines and offer a full personal demonstration before you buy so that you get the right machine for your needs. We also give FREE training on most machines so that you can make the most of your new purchase.

Brother 1050X Demonstration Weekend

Come along and see a demonstration of this fabulous Brother Embroidery Machine in association with Dowlings Sewing Machines. We will be showing you how to use this versatile machine, as well as showing the new Brother scanning upgrade .

This is a FREE demonstration but as space is limited, please reserve your place to avoid disappointment. Ring us on 01268 523780 to book a specific time or contact us. You are welcome to just drop in, but as we expect this to be very a popular event, we will be giving preference to pre-bookings. Also, please note Sunday demonstrations between 10.30 and 1.00 are reserved for our monthly Embroiderer's Group.

Blackwork with Wendy Mansfield

On this workshop you will be stitching one of Wendy's exclusive Blackwork designs onto evenweave fabric. This class is suitable for anyone who is new to this form of counted embroidery or those wishing to extend your skills. Materials are included in the price of this workshop.

Layered Landscapes with Alex Waylett

Make this beautiful casket for your jewells or special treasures using delicately coloured Powertex.

This is a mixed ability class, so is perfect for those who have used this versitile medium before. Beginners will be given an introduction with a different project.

All materials are included in this workshop, but please feel free to bring your own embellishments to add to your work.
