Jacobean Whitework Workshop

On Sunday 21st June, Craft Arena is hosting a workshop by Gary Clarke who is visiting the UK from Tasmania. The workshop will start at 10.30 am and finishing at 4pm with a break for lunch.  The cost of this workshop will be just £20, which includes materials used in the workshop. 

Place on this special workshop are strictly limited and will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis, so if you are interested contact us as soon as possible.

 

New Stock

Brother Sewing Machines

We are delighted to announce that we are now stockists of Brother Sewing Machines.

We currently have two models to demonstrate, the Innov-is 10A and Innov-is 30, as well as the Innov-is QC 1000. We can order most Brother machines for delivery within a few days.

Some of the most popular feet for Brother (and most Janome) sewing machines will shortly be in, together with bobbins - you can never have enough bobbins!

We can now also offer servicing for most makes of sewing machines starting from £40. Please contact us for more information.

Jacquard Products

We have extended our range of Jaquard Products to include the full range of Lumiere Fabric Paints. These fabulously thick and juicy paints come in 32 stunninc metallic and pearlescent colours. They can be used of natural and synthetic fibres, leather, wood and paper.

We also stock:

• Jacquard Dye-Na-Flow liquid paint, which are highly-pigmented fluid paints perfect for silk, other natural fabric and also synthetics.
• Piñata alcohol inks, which are highly versatile and can be used in a variety of applications such as rubber stamping, fine art, scrapbooking, faux finishing, airbrush application as well as staining wood, leather and other non-porous surfaces.
• Tee Juice Markers for fabric, paper, wood, polymer clay, leather etc.
• Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments which can be used on their own or combined with all sorts of media to produce wonderful luster and sheen to many different surfaces.
• Pearl Ex Stamp Pads which are water-soluble, acid free archival and lightfast. They are designed for use on paper, fabric, shrink plastic, clay, leather, glass and wood.
• ExtravOrganza Inkjet Silk Organza - semi-transparent silk organza prepared for inkjet printing. Perfect for scrapbooking, ribbons, wearable art, and more!
• Inkjet Silk Habotai and Cotton Percale - prints just like paper but retains the soft handle of the fabric.

Mistyfuse™ is a paper-less bonding fibre for all weights of fabric from velvets and cottons to delicate tulles and organzas. As there is no added adhesive, it doesn't gum up scissors or needles. Each package comes with simple instructions for easy fusing with no waste. Find out more

Hemingworth Machine Threads are now in stock.

There are 126 delicious colours to start with, including metallics and neon colours, as well as varigated threads. The Hemingworth spool is designed with a unique cover which is both a smooth thread guide and a protective storage solution.

The Big Draw

During autumn half term, Craft Arena participated in The Big Draw. Children used textile pens and crayons to decorate textile items such as aprons, bags and pencil cases. View some of the results here.

We also provide a visiting service to local clubs and associations. We bring a selection of our favourite items or theme supplies to the projects you are currently working on, and give you the opportunity to purchase the supplies you need.
